The Consulta Periferie Milano, the co-pilot with Municipio 2 of Milan in the Impactour Project, received the “Ambrogino d’oro” prize.

The Ambrogino d’oro is the highest honor of the City of Milan, reserved each year for citizens and/or associations who have brought prestige to the city, enhancing and protecting it.
The awarding of the honor takes place on December 7, on the occasion of the celebrations of Sant'Ambrogio, usually in the Teatro Dal Verme. The winners are chosen by the Office of the President of the Milan City Council, but the mayor has the right to veto them.

In fact, therefore, the Ambrogino d'Oro is a medal that has been awarded for almost a century: the first ceremony took place in 1925. The coin's origin dates back to the First Republic (1250-1310), during which the city of Milan began to mint its own currency. The original Ambrogino d'Oro had on one side the effigy of Sant'Ambrogio and on the other that of San Gervasio and San Protasio.

On the other hand, the prize that is awarded today always has the effigy of the patron saint of the city, while on the other the coat of arms of the Municipality of Milan.

CONSULTA PERIPERIE MILANO was established in 2005, to implement a "systemic" approach, which considers and seeks to reconnect the various factors and subjects who, while operating at the city level or above, decide and influence territorial affairs, particularly in the suburbs and is progressively formally promoted by 44 diversified associations (cultural, social volunteering, sport, street commerce, and committees), also sharing initiatives with 150 other Milanese bodies/associations.

In the field of Cultural Tourism, Consulta Periferie Milano can count on Atlha (Accessible Tourism and Leisure), Amici della Martesana Greco, Museo Macchina da Scrivere, Agorà Futura, Mediazione Visuale Interculturale, Centro studi ConMilanoOvest, Fondazione Perini.

The H2020 IMPACTOUR Project is reaching its final stage with the implementation of the IMPACTOUR TOOL.

Today the consortium of IMPACTOUR partners meets with pilots in Toulouse, France, to present the developed tool to measure the impact of cultural tourism.

Understanding and discussing the parameters and how to use the tool in the destinations is the main ambition of the meeting.

Unbelievable! IMPACTOUR partners and pilot sites meet (face to face!) in Matera for the Global World Café, to finally work together on the important topics to be discussed for developing cultural tourism and good innovative tools to help the destinations! #H2020_impactour

Some destinations joined online due to travel restrictions, but all Pilot destinations will be invited to other regional meetings in Spain, and Portugal, and - possibly - other locations where we can meet, finally(!) face-to-face.
