Chemin de Compostelle en Aveyron, France

Chemin de Compostelle en Aveyron, France

The Puy-en-Velay road links Le Puy-en-Velay to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port for 750 kilometres. It crosses the department of Aveyron, the magnificent landscapes of Aubrac, the abbey church of Conques, a major place of medieval pilgrimage. The route sees nearly 20,000 pilgrims pass through it every year. The city of Conques has more than 1 million visitors. Several bridges and trail sections are inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List as part of the "Chemins de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle en France".
